IDEATION
Before I started the work, I looked for inspirations on Pinterest.

I found that most of the theme of vormator landscape are about natural scenery, so I was figuring to do a theme like sunrise scenery. Thus, I started to sketch my idea out:

Then, I went to search for sunrise colour scheme on Google.

PROGRESS
The first, I used pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator to draw the foreground. Then, used knife tool to cut and fill with the colours.

The third, I created the sunrise.

Narrative and Final Work
The sun blooms on the horizon,
golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue.
It is the brilliant flower of the sky that warms our days,
it is the invitation to a new day,
that sunrise so ordinary extraordinary.

SECOND ATTEMPT (Week 13)
As I've mentioned in the Reflection, I felt that my work was not good enough, so I've decided to do another vector landscape although I've already submitted it.
IDEATION
This idea was originally for my another project (Design Principles' Project 3), then I realized it also can be used as the vector landscape and it looks more interesting than the one I've done previously. For this idea, I was inspired by an artwork of Lisk Feng.

I like to play guitar as it always give me peace of mind. To express the state of my mind, I've decided to set it at the evening's sea side.
Then, I did some research on the sea side scenery and its colour setting. I've decided to go for blue colour as it brings a sense of calmness and peace which is pretty fit with my idea.
I used the pen tool to create everything in the following process.
Lastly, to perfect it, I adjusted the whole artwork to have a grainy texture.
Shown below is the sketch of my idea:

PROGRESS
I used Adobe Illustrator to digitalize my work. Firstly, I used the shape tool in concert with direct selection tool to create the character and guitar. Guitar was coloured in red to make it be the focal point.

Then, I added the details with different brushes to add texture to the elements in the work.

FEEDBACK
No feedback.
REFLECTION
Experience:
Before I began to digitalize my sketch, I looked for some tutorial video on Youtube. I learned some great tools and methods from it. It was fun doing this exercise, I learned to use knife tool and pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator.
Observation:
I noticed that the final result was too simple and lack of an aesthetically pleasing.
Findings:
I felt that I want to redo this exercise although I've submitted it as I think the final work was not good enough as compared to my friend's work. Moreover, I need to practice more to improve my skill in using AI so that I can create a better artwork than before.
