MAJOR PROJECT
WEEK 1 // Module Briefing
We were given a brief about our major project. There are 3 pathways we can work on: dissertation topic, united nations sustainable goals (UN SDG), or client.
By week 2, we need to create a proposal including the pathway option, problem statement, target audience, proposed solution, why the solution, and references.
As this is our final year project, we were advised to avoid making it an assignment. It should be industry-standard. Moreover, we were advised to not come out with output first, instead, we should find a topic, dig into it and figure out the best output to communicate it.
For students who doing animation, we were told that the animation project is straightforward, the mark is on the polishness of the output.
WEEK 2 - WEEK 9
In week 2, I got my problem statement, objective, and targeted outcome done. I've decided to do a topic regarding negative self-talk, which targets the third SDG (Good Health and Well-Being). I opted for animation as a medium to convey this topic.
However, I kept changing the storyboard and art direction because I prefer creating something uplifting and enjoyable, rather than delving into darker themes. I've always had a passion for designing 3D characters, so I planned to shift my focus from animation to crafting characters inspired by skateboarding. Given the time constraints, Tzeearn suggested that I'd better stick with animation and incorporate skateboarding into it using a fun technique like rotoscoping. This suggestion has truly inspired me, and I found that more ideas flow when I thought about incorporating rotoscope into my project."
FINAL PROPOSAL
Below is the final proposal that I showed on Week 11.

WEEK 10 - WEEK 16
I used 3 weeks (week 10- week 13) to finish the planned rotoscope scenes, and I add some of the scenes again when I was editing it in Premiere Pro. Leveraging my Adobe Audition skills, I remixed and edited the background music to perfectly align with my animation. I knew that this enhancement would elevate my animation to a whole new level.

COLLATERALS
During weeks 14-16, I dedicated my efforts to designing various collaterals, including flipbooks, postcards, posters, stickers, zines, bookmarks, and namecards. Additionally, I prepared a mirror adorned with designed stickers to enhance interaction at my booth.
Zine (A Deep Breath)
I made a zine to provide an in-depth exploration of the animation's scenes.
