After finished our project 3 (graphic novel), we had to animate it.
I used 2 software to animate my graphic novel:
1. Adobe Photoshop: Animating the still images of graphic novel, and adding video effect.
2. Adobe Premium Pro: Adding video transition, sound effect and background music.
PHOTOSHOP
Initially, I opened a new document with 1280 x 720px in Photoshop, as it has the good display for a video, especially for Youtube.
Fig 1.1: 1280 x 720px
Then, I exported the JPEG of my graphic novel that without dialogue and Onomatopoeia inserted from AI. After that, I selected each of the panel and decided each of them to put in a clips.

After selected it, I pasted it into the document Fig 1.1. Then, in order to animate certain part of the character later on, in this case, the arm, I used pen tool to select the arm, and used brush and CTRL+J (new layer via copy) to cover the blank cut area. Then, I pressed CTRL+X (cut) and SHIFT+CTRL+V (paste special) to create an independent layer for the arm.
Fig 1.3: The panel was pasted and the arm was cut and pasted as another layer.
Then, I animated the arm by converting the "hand" layer into Smart Object, and then I free transformed it like making rotation, in the Timeline.

Next, I put another panel in the document.

After that, I copied the dialogue and Onomatopoeia from the work in AI and pasted it into Photoshop as a Vector Smart Object, so that I can animate them separately.

After done all of that, it's time to animate all the necessary things by using Timeline in Photoshop by adjusting the opacity and position.

PREMIUM PRO
I imported all the done edited video clips into Premium Pro, and arranged them in sequence, combined into one video. Then, I added transition, sound effects and background music into it and adjusted them carefully, so that it becomes more interesting.

Plus, I also adjusted the volume of each sound effects and background music, to make them fit well in the video.

FEEDBACK
Specific Feedback: Ms. Anis gave a positive comment on my final work: "Good use of soundtrack and sfx, and the timing is good".
REFLECTION
Experience:
It took almost half of my day to think of the methods of animating my graphic novel. As I still not familiar with the software for animating like Adobe After Effect. Through this project, I've learned that I should apply all the thing I've learnt into my work, as well as be encouraged to actively look for solutions.
Observation:
I kept looking for tutorial on Youtube, but surprisingly, I found there are less tutorial video on Youtube. The most useful tutorial video that I've found was the one teaching about animating certain part of the character in the still comic by using Photoshop. Hence, I had the idea of animating part of the character, and also separating each panel by using Photoshop, then combining them and adding transition in Premium Pro later on. Meanwhile, I tried to look for other motion comic on Youtube so that I can get a better idea. I've learned some interesting transition and bgm that I could apply in my work from the motion comic about "Avatar" on Youtube.
Findings:
I've learnt more new yet useful things through doing this project, such as the short-cut key CTRL+X (cut), SHIFT+CTRL+V (paste special), CTRL+J (new layer via copy), as well as some tools and options in Photoshop like merge layers etc. Not only that, I've got more familiar with Premium Pro while working on this project. Overall, I've developed a lot of new things with Photoshop and Premium Pro, and I really happy that I finally get this project done and pretty satisfied with the outcome.
