PROJECT 1: Prototype Design (Landing Page Design)
WEEK 3 // 14.04.2021
Our first project this week is to create a static landing page of a microsite from the topic of our choice. After brainstorming what is my interest, I decided to make an e-commerce website for skateboard products. Since it is my recent favourite hobby, so I would like to dive into it.
Mr. Shamsul advised us to state our topic, the purpose of the site, the target audience, and CTA (call-to-action), and I have included them in Google Slides.
IDEATION
After taking references on several e-commerce websites, I drafted out my wireframe.

WEEK 4 // 21.04.2021
We were required to design a landing page for a website using Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / any software of our choice. After that, we have to do slides that consist of assets, visual references, wireframes, and descriptions for the website.
PROGRESS
After I have my draft of the wireframe, I started deciding my assets, such as font choice, colour scheme, and images. With all that in my mind, I then designed my landing page in Adobe Illustrator and of course, I made several changes so it doesn't necessarily the same as my wireframe design.
Fig 2: Collected images in different categories for the landing page
I experimented with different images during designing the landing page so that they are matched the theme and looks visually balanced and consistent.
The character illustration is what I've created in sem break, and it happened to be suitable for this project. As such, I changed the logo name from "Skatecate" to "Skatedog" in order to match the illustration.

For the font, I chose Avenir, a sans serif typeface for almost the entire content such as Headline and Body. Likewise, I picked a serif typeface, Sabon only for the Logo and the story's title.
