PROJECT 3: Channel Ident / Identity
For this project, we need to stick with the channel that was previously selected for Project 2 in order to produce a motion graphic video channel ident.IDEATION
IDEA #1
I tried to brainstorm the narrative for Spotify again.

But, I didn't see myself doing this theme. Since the thumbnails I created are too monotonous and clichéd, I felt like changing the theme. My request was granted by Mr. Fauzi.
IDEA #2
As I continued to dig for inspiration, the videos from Vimeo that appeared on Pinterest gave me the idea, which is introducing a certain artist or celebrity.
This reminds me of the project done by my lecturer, Mr. Fauzi: Boiler Room, which looks very cool and I liked it!

I was drawn to the videos’ jumbled-up images and glitchy, futuristic visual effects and I intended to work toward a similar result and majorly apply visual effects in my motion video.

I searched for the different motion graphic types to make sure I'm on the correct track and can produce this kind of output. I felt more secure developing glitch motion graphics after watching the video below.
Kygo, one of my favourite DJs, immediately sprang to mind when I thought of the artist that I wanted to work on. He is one of the DJs I enjoy listening to the most, and I rate his EDM music as the best of the best.
I scribble ideas in my notes. Those visuals were all in my head.

PROPOSAL
I then incorporated all the findings and ideation in my proposal.Fig 2: Proposal (Channel Identity)
PROGRESS
Music
The music I intended to use is Stole The Snow by Kygo.
I planned to use its instrumental version at the beginning of the video. Then, the music chorus enters at the latter (climax) to boost the mood.
Premiere Pro
This time, as opposed to my last project, which used collage animation, all of my output was dependent on editing and visual effects. I chose to execute in Premiere Pro.In my production, I made great use of glitches, tape visual noises, film effects, and mirror effects because I wanted to create a documentary with a modern hype vibe.

Animatic
I assembled the materials with the beats, but this is not the final result because I am still deciding what to include in some of the video's segments. I consulted this with Mr. Fauzi.

Feedback
